Little pilgrims with big hearts!
After the inaugural pilgrimage in 2013, as a result of suggestions from some families with younger children who would like to participate in the Walk to Mary, we have specifically implemented a 2 mile segment (the last 2 miles of the pilgrimage) of the Walk to Mary designed to accommodate Mary’s youngest children.
Thankfully this distance is also perfect for those individuals or families who would like to participate but are challenged to walk longer distances.
You can “Walk with the Children” by joining in the pilgrimage at the intersection of Van Lanen Road and County Line Road – see the interactive route map below for specific details. You cannot get to this join-in point by car. You must park at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help and take a shuttle bus to join-in point. The last bus for the Walk With Children leaves promptly at 2pm from the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.
