What to Bring

Pilgrimage will take place RAIN or SHINE!

Experienced Walk to Mary pilgrims have encouraged us to share they have found Moleskin to be extremely helpful for the prevention and treatment of blisters.  Blisters are, by the way, the most common issue for the pilgrims who participate on this journey.

Every pilgrim should consider bringing the following items:

  1. A backpack to carry items
  2. Appropriate dress for the walk - remember the walk will take place rain or shine.  Rain gear may be needed.  It is always appropriate to dress in layers.  If you get warm you can take a layer off and put it in your backpack.
  3. Water bottles are a MUST!  There will be water refill stations along the way.  Only water will be supplied.
  4. Food and snacks
  5. Rosary
  6. Comfortable walking shoes that have been broken in
  7. Extra pair of socks
  8. Some first-aid items (powder, bandages)
  9. Sun screen
  10. Dry and wet tissues
  11. Small towel

"As part of the New Evangelization, I invite all in our area who are able to join in this journey of faith. Participation in this pilgrimage is a wonderful way to engage the entire family, and especially our young people."
